Appliance Dent Removal

By using a technique borrowed from the automotive bodywork repair industry called paintless dent removal, I am able to make significant cosmetic improvements to door dents in elegant appliances such as SMEG fridge freezers, American fridge freezers and range cookers. Dent damage to appliances can often be found on ex-display models, households with children and in households where inexperienced movers have had a mishap during a previous house move. ​

The brushed metal finish which designers have become fond of in recent years (rightly so, it looks amazing), reflects light differently than an appliance with a  solid colour matt finish, drawing the eye, especially in a prominent place. Some appliances like range cookers are expensive items and unfortunate door dents can affect resale value. 

 

Whilst the majority of dents are cosmetic, they can sometimes affect the performance of your refrigerator. Dents near seals or edges can compromise insulation, leading to inefficiencies. If you notice temperature fluctuations or unusual noises after denting, it’s best to inspect the appliance thoroughly.​​
